AUSTIN, TEXAS — The Young Conservatives of Texas (YCT) is proud to announce our endorsement of Don Huffines for the office of Texas Comptroller in the upcoming 2026 election. Young conservatives across the Lone Star State deserve a fiscal watchdog in Austin—someone who lives the principles of limited government, accountability, and relentless defense of liberty—and Huffines brings exactly that to the table.
Proven Conservative Leadership
Don Huffines is a fifth-generation Texan, self-made businessman, father and grandfather, and a proven conservative public servant. He served in the Texas Senate representing Dallas County’s 16th District, where he earned a 92% career rating from YCT while in the Legislature.
At YCT, we stand for: fiscal responsibility & limited government, individual liberty & free markets, strong families & pro-life values, and youth engagement. Don Huffines’ pledges and work in his life point to his strong dedication to all of these metrics. As Comptroller we believe he will put Texans first, make sure Texas stays free, and hold government spending accountable.
