Young Conservatives of Texas (YCT) is excited to announce the selection of Saurabh Sharma as the 24th Chairman of the State Board of Directors of YCT. Saurabh is a biochemistry student and the Chairman of Young Conservatives of Texas at The University of Texas at Austin.
“I want to thank our outgoing chairman, Caroline Chadwick, for her service to Young Conservatives of Texas. She worked tirelessly to advance conservative principles throughout the Lone Star State and stewarded 9 chapters at colleges and universities across Texas to success. More than ever, YCT must be a force for moral, principled, and effective conservatism in the Lone Star State. We will stand strong against campus bureaucrats, far-left activists, and crony Republicans, who stand in the way of a prosperous Texas and the integrity of its institutions of higher education. As Chairman, I look forward to working with our members, alumni, and endorsed elected officials to advance the principles of the American founding and limited government that have allowed Texas and the United States to thrive,” Saurabh said.
YCT has also hired Manfred Wendt as its Executive Director. Manfred served as the 2017-18 Chairman of Young Conservatives of Texas at Trinity University and was a Field Manager on the Chip Roy for Congress campaign after graduating. As Executive Director, Manfred will be tasked with implementing the vision of the YCT Board of Directors as it fights for a principled and effective Texas conservatism.
“As the Executive Director for YCT, I look forward to using my unique skillset to help develop the conservative movement on Texas college campuses and our state at large. The coming years will be pivotal in determining the future of our state and nation, and YCT will be critical in ensuring we move in the right direction,” Manfred said.
