YCT Alumnus Appointed to Co-chair Super Committee

On August 10th, House Speaker John Boehner announced his picks for the 12-member super committee charged with confronting our nation’s debt problem. Among his three picks were YCT alumnus and US Congressman Jeb Hensarling!

We would like to extend special congratulations to Congressman Hensarling and sincerely hope he will continue to do an outstanding job and uphold the principles he learned while he was a part of the Young Conservatives of Texas.

Each of the top four congressional leaders was allowed to pick three legislators to form the super-committee, making for an evenly divided committee along party lines. It is an honor for Congressman Hensarling to be selected to co-chair this committee, further ascertaining his conservative leadership in the US House of Representatives.
