Austin, TX – Young Conservatives of Texas (YCT) today endorsed Republican Stephanie Klick. Klick is running for State Representative in House District 91, a reconfigured open seat in Tarrant County including the cities of Ft. Worth, Haltom City, North Richland Hills, Richland Hills, and Watauga.
Jeff Morris, YCT State Chairman, stated, “For over a decade, Stephanie Klick has an exemplary record of service as both Tarrant County Republican Party Chairman and Vice Chairman. Now she has the opportunity to put that experience to work on behalf of the voters of HD91. Stephanie has the spirit, the tenacity, and the courage to be an effective conservative champion in the Texas House.”
Mrs. Klick was elected Chairman of the Tarrant County Republican Party in September 2005, after having served as Vice Chair for over five years. During that time Tarrant County has become one of the most Republican counties in the country.
“Stephanie Klick has a track record of fighting in the trenches for our conservative principles,” commented Tony McDonald, YCT Senior Vice Chairman. “We know she can be counted on to push back against those who want to grow government, raise taxes, and erode our personal freedoms. YCT is proud to endorse her candidacy.”
In response to the endorsement, Klick said, “I am proud to have the endorsement of Young Conservatives of Texas. This dynamic group has a 30 year track record of advancing the principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, transparency, and freedom in Texas. I look forward to working with YCT in advancing these goals in Austin.”
Stephanie is a native Texan with strong ties across HD 91, having lived in the Ft. Worth portion of the district for over a decade. She attended school in the Birdville ISD and later St. John the Apostle Catholic School, both located in HD 91. As a youth, Mrs. Klick was a candy striper at North Hills Medical Center in North Richland Hills, formerly known as Glenview Hospital, where she developed a passion for nursing. Klick later worked as a nursing supervisor at the hospital.
Klick is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, having worked her way through college. A nursing consultant, she has worked as case manager coordinating the care of the catastrophically injured and as a compliance consultant for longterm care facilities for the developmentally disabled.
Stephanie has four grown children: a daughter and three sons. She and her husband Don have been married 32 years and are proud grandparents of four grandchildren. Don is a real estate broker and owns and operates a real estate investment firm.
