State Rep. Edmund Kuempel remained in intensive care Wednesday after having a heart attack late Tuesday at the Capitol.

"He’s in stable condition in a medically induced coma," said House Speaker Joe Straus, who visited Kuempel and his family Wednesday at University Medical Center at Brackenridge. "He’s getting excellent care."
