| Jade Kirkpatrick founded a YCT chapter at West Texas A&M, where she is a rising junior studying Political Science. She spent this summer interning in Congressman Chip Roy’s D.C. office. “The biggest lesson I learned from my internship was to always stand strong in my conservative values. Experiencing firsthand how Congressman Roy sticks to his principles even when no one else does was inspiring. Additionally, my communication skills have greatly improved. My internship has inspired me; when I come home I plan to be more involved in Amarillo’s political scene.” |
