Happy Birthday to Texas and to YCT!
March 8, 2021
This week in 1836, Texas was born on the bank of the Brazos River. We take this week to celebrate what makes Texas exceptional: liberty, enterprise, personal responsibility, and traditional values. As we also commemorate the 41st anniversary of the founding of YCT in Austin, TX, we remember that YCT was founded on a pledge to defend these values. These values are what make Texas different from any other state in the union, and if we don’t keep fighting to protect them, we will lose them. If we lose liberty, enterprise, personal responsibility, and traditional values, we lose Texas. And if Texas goes, so goes the rest of the country. That is why YCT has spent the past 41 years fighting for Texas and plans to continue to work harder than ever. YCT is now active on 28 college campuses, where we are educating students and preparing them to lead the Texas conservative movement. |
We would also like to remind you that our 2021 annual convention is approaching. It will be held April 23rd – 25th at the Doubletree Suites in downtown Austin. Members will gather to enjoy camaraderie, bolster their policy chops, and hear directly from courageous conservative leaders. Speakers include Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), Congressman Chip Roy (TX-21), Representative Mayes Middleton (HD-23), and the founder of YCT: the Honorable Steve Munisteri. We hope to see you there. |
