Remembering 9/11 on Patriot Day:

Seven years have come and gone since thousands of Americans lost their lives on September 11, 2201, and as the anniversary draws near, one Texas A&M organization is making sure we never forget that day.

The Texas A&M Chapter of the Young Conservatives of Texas is placing 2,977 flags at the Academic Plaza, one for each person killed in the 9-11 attacks.

"It helps us remember what happened that day so it’s just a good way to remember the people that suffered and that we don’t forget even if it’s been seven years it’s still fresh in my mind, like it happened yesterday," Texas A&M Student Rosa Hernandez said.
