Young Conservatives of Texas, an independent, non-partisan, conservative grassroots organization celebrating thirty years of conservative leadership in Texas has announced their statewide endorsements for the 2010 general election.

“These officials have displayed great conservative leadership for Texas,” said Tony McDonald, Senior Vice Chairman. “We are proud to support leaders who have kept our state running strong.”

The organization is endorsing Governor Rick Perry, Lt. Governor David Dewhurst, Attorney General Greg Abbott, Commissioner of Agriculture Todd Staples, and Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson. Young Conservatives of Texas announced their endorsements in races for the Texas State House and Senate and Congress earlier this month.

“During hard economic times, Texas is doing well in relation to other states,” Mr. McDonald said. We believe these elected officials will keep the state moving in the right direction.”

YCT, which was founded in 1980, issues the most respected ratings of the state legislature and is the only conservative group to have done so without interruption over the last 18 legislative sessions. YCT has chapters at universities across Texas. To learn more about YCT, their legislative ratings, or their endorsements visit www.yct.org.
