State Board

Cassidy Schnoor, a junior at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in International Business and Economics with a minor in Political Science. Prior to her current role, she served as the Chapter Chairman for the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and the Social Media Director for the state board. In addition to her involvement with YCT, Cassidy holds the positions of University Ambassador, President of the Pre-Law Society, and the Health and Wellness Representative of the Student Government Association. During the spring semester of her freshman year, Cassidy interned in the Texas state legislature during the 88th session. During her tenure with YCT, she has had the opportunity to meet and learn from local and state leadership, as well as participate in campaigns. Her ultimate goal is to encourage participation in Texas politics and inspire students on campus to engage in the political process.

William Travis is the Operations Director for the Young Conservatives of Texas. Graduating in May 2024, he is studying Business Computer Information System. Seeking to support conservative values, he is a member of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor chapter of YCT where he eventually served as Executive Director then as Vice-Chairman. In addition to his involvement with YCT William has been involved in Student Government Association most recently as the Senior Class Vice-President and at his local church where he is a member of the worship team and a small group leader in the youth group.

Juan Almengor is a Colombian who immigrated to the United States at the age of three, and was raised in Pearland, TX in a conservative Christian household, and has been raised to not take his freedom and rights for granted. In 2013 He became a United States Citizen. Juan is currently in his Senior year at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Majoring in both Economics and Business Computer Information Systems with a goal to attend law school. As the State Secretary, He aims to expand the conservative wave and to educate on current political issues and policies. Juan was the former Communications Director and Chapter Chairman for the UMHB chapter and Parliamentarian for the State Board.

Christian, a native of Aledo, Texas, currently attends the University of Houston where he studies Political Science and Spanish. Previously, he has served as the Chairman for the UH Chapter and as a Board Partner on the State Board. His top issues include housing affordability for the next generation, passing school choice, and keeping men out of women's spaces. Christian enjoys going on hikes in State Parks with loved ones, watching college football and hockey, as well as drumming for his church!

William is currently a senior at Southern Methodist University studying economics with financial applications and pre-law. Over the past two summers he has worked for the House of Representatives for Congressman Andrew Garbarino. Doing one year in his district office where he focused on constituent concerns and the next year worked in his Washington D.C. office where he had a focus on financial services and capital markets. While he still serves as the Chapter Chair as Southern Methodist University he will now be taking on an additional role on the state board where he will focus on our fundraising efforts.
