The Austin College chapter of YCT was formed in the spring of 2019 with the goal of promoting a spirit of camaraderie among politically conservative students and providing a platform for productive and positive discussion of issues from a conservative perspective. Since being established at Austin College, we have engaged in numerous events including a 9/11 flag memorial and bringing prominent state representatives to campus. We have also provided social events for conservative students to connect with one another and establish a sense of community. In doing so, the Austin College YCT chapter has brought an increased level of both partisan camaraderie and non-partisan discourse to campus.
